To date about 130 fungi have been identified. Visual identification is possible with many species, including the first ten categories below.

However the last five categories include some fungi, with a cap with gills, which may require more specific investigation to identify, including looking at the size and
colour of the spores. More recent clasifications are being based on DNA analysis, which does not require you to look at the fungus.
